When to Visit Kuntala Waterfalls?

Like any other waterfall, the Kuntala Waterfall is also at its best during the monsoon. However, the best time to visit here is the post-monsoon season in the winter. October-November is a perfect time to visit here, where the climate is more comfortable for an outdoor trip.

The water here comes from the Kadam Reservoir, and during heavy monsoons, there could be water release, making this a dangerous place. It is not safe to go into the water during monsoon as the water flow can be unsafe. Moreover, the monsoon will make the walking path slippery, so you must be extra cautious. The waterfall will be very less after the winter season and throughout the summer months. A visit here during this time will not be fruitful and is not recommended.

Other Places to Visit Nearby

There is a small cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Someshwara Swamy near the waterfalls. Devotees queue up to visit here during Shivratri. Shivratri is an excellent time to visit here for the darshan rather than enjoy the waterfall.

Another place to visit is the Pochera Waterfalls. It is a small waterfall with a height of just 20 m. It flows over a granite rock bed and thus has a slight emerald tinge to the water. These are the only places that you can visit while visiting here by bus.
