In a groundbreaking move for the country, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has embarked on a significant digital transformation journey through the initiation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project. This forward-looking initiative aims to elevate operational efficiency and deliver enhanced services to passengers. The Centralised Integrated Solution (CIS) project, inaugurated by TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar and CEO of Nalsoft Private Limited Nalluri Venkat at the corporate office in Bus Bhavan, focuses on leveraging the latest Oracle ERP application.
The CIS project encompasses a comprehensive integration of modules, including Finance, Human Resource Management System (HRMS), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), PayRoll, and Depot Operations. TSRTC, with its extensive network of over 9,000 buses, a workforce exceeding 50,000, and a daily operation of 35 lakh kms, catering to approximately 45 lakh passengers and connecting 10,000 towns and villages, recognized the imperative need for technological advancement.
The corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nalsoft Private Limited on January 30, 2023, marking the initiation of the CIS project in TSRTC. Remarkably, the project was successfully completed within an impressive timeframe of 10 months. Addressing the occasion, Sajjanar highlighted the corporation’s achievement in implementing the ERP project within this record timeframe.
The CIS project is designed to facilitate effective revenue management and timely measures for cost control. By ensuring data integrity, centralized data availability, and enhanced data security, the ERP system optimizes manpower utilization. Furthermore, it empowers the organization for faster and intelligent decision-making processes. This milestone in digital transformation positions TSRTC as a trailblazer in adopting cutting-edge technology for the benefit of both its operational efficiency and the overall passenger experience.
