NHAI: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has declared a second adjustment in toll rates for the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway, following its inauguration in February 2023. Commencing April 1, drivers utilizing the access-controlled highway and Satellite Town Ring Road will encounter a rise in toll fees.

Revised Toll Charges for Vehicles

Four-wheeler owners traveling along the entire Bengaluru-Mysuru access-controlled highway will now face an extra charge of Rs 10 for both one-way and round trips. With this adjustment, the toll fee for a one-way journey rises to Rs 320, while a round trip within the same day amounts to Rs 485.

The NHAI’s notification details the updated toll rates for designated sections. Along the Bengaluru-Nidaghatta stretch, car owners will incur Rs 170 for a one-way trip and Rs 255 for a round trip. Furthermore, monthly passes for 50 one-way journeys are available at a cost of Rs 5,715.

Owners of LCV/LGV/Minibuses will be subject to a toll of Rs 275 for a one-way trip and Rs 415 for a round trip. On the other hand, trucks and buses will experience heightened toll fees amounting to Rs 580 for a single journey and Rs 870 for a round trip.

NHAI further adjusted toll fees for the Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR) within five months of its inauguration. Car toll charges increased from Rs 70 to Rs 80 for a one-way trip and from Rs 105 to Rs 120 for a round trip within the same day. Additionally, monthly pass rates were modified from Rs 2,375 to Rs 2,720.

NHAI is scheduled to initiate toll collection for the recently inaugurated stretch of the Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR) from Dabaspet to Doddaballapur following the conclusion of the state’s Lok Sabha elections. An NHAI official clarified that toll fee adjustments are customary at the beginning of a financial year, impacting 50 toll plazas across Karnataka.
