You can easily book bus tickets online for a wholesome experience. RTC has been the leader in the space for quite a while now. RTC buses are known for providing best in class services. This bus booking can be made using the redBus app. Online bus booking has made the entire travelling business hassle-free.

There are different buses managed by RTC. Some of the most famous RTC bus service providers are APSRTC, TSRTC, GSRTC, UPSRTC and MSRTC. You can book bus tickets online using the redBus app for all of these buses. These RTC buses are known for their huge fleet size and the number of routes it covers. You can conveniently make the online bus booking if you would like to travel on the popular routes in India. With these changes in the bus booking system, other industries are evolving too. The world is coming closer with these transformations where processes become faster and convenient for customers.

Sending parcels through RTC buses

Different states have started cargo services using the RTC bus network. The state governments are now building an infrastructure in the world of transportation where cargo services can be provided hand-in-hand with the bus services to the passengers. Therefore, the government decided to offer cargo services along with the travel service given to the passengers.

Currently, service providers are not providing the option of carrying parcels from one place to another. Therefore, make sure that you check if the bus you want to go forward with for transporting your package provides the cargo services. These services are giving additional revenue to the state governments and helping them in expanding the business of RTC buses. This added revenue stream will allow the RTC buses to compensate for the losses incurred during the pandemic.

Details on the parcel services given by RTC buses

These services are known as parcel, courier, and cargo services and can be availed by booking a package slot in an RTC bus, be it GSRTC. MSRTC, UPSRTC or APSRTC. The packages can now be sent across cities, and there are about 140 bus stations that will be aiding the service. The government aims at connecting even the remotest possible areas using these buses. Items having a weight lying in the range of 250 grams to 1,000 kgs can be sent across by the customers. To track the parcel, both the consignor and consignee will be provided with a tracking link via SMS.

Service providers like APSRTC started with about 200 dedicated buses to support these services. The pricing of this service would be based on the kilometres the parcel travels as well as the weight of the parcel. There is a chart which can be referred to before booking a slot for the parcel:
