If you are planning a tour of Tamilnadu, then you must visit Ooty. Ooty is among the best holiday destinations in Southern India. It has been the favorite place of Bollywood for shooting, as it has some very scenic views. There are so many tourist attractions in Ooty such as Tea Gardens, Pykara Falls, Tiger Hill, Toy Train, Ooty Lake, Kamraj Sagar Lake, etc.

If your backpacking group loves hills then you should check out Kodaikanal in Tamilnadu. The weather in this place is very pleasant. It has scenic views and offers the options of hiking, bird watching, sightseeing, and relaxing around doing nothing. The place is located around 2000 m above sea level. To reach there, a minibus is a perfect choice. As it can safely transport the whole group in one go.
