Uttar Pradesh with UPSRTC

Uttar Pradesh is a culturally rich state with plenty of tourist and religious places. Despite being the most populated state in India, Uttar Pradesh has made its mark on the country’s tourism map with its various heritage, cultural, and religious monuments.

The Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation is providing good connectivity between those famous places from most of the major cities in and around the state as well as from neighbouring states.

Best places to visit in Uttar Pradesh

Most of the best tourist places in Uttar Pradesh do not need an introduction. But what you may not know is that all of these have a well connected public transport system. It means that you don’t really need to rely on taxis to move around the state.

Agra

The Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort make it to the top of amongst the world’s most favoured tourist spots. Both these places are connected to the outer world with public transportation. You can easily find buses to Agra from Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Faizabad, Noida, Allahabad, Basti, etc. All the public and private buses can go only up to a certain point near the Taj mahal. You would either need to walk the last one kilometre or take those specific electric buses to transport you to the monument. This move is to avoid pollution from the vehicles, which are diminishing the shine and colour of the Taj Mahal.

Ayodhya

Lord Ram’s birthplace and now famous for the new temple, this place has always been holy for many. The popular attractions that you can find here are Moti Mahal, the Mausoleum of Bahu Begum, the Faizabad Museum, Hanuman Garhi, Ramkot, etc. You can find UPSRTC buses to Ayodhya from Delhi, Agra, Lucknow, Jaipur, Agra, Faizabad, Gorakhpur, etc.

Fatehpur Sikri
