Before making my APSRTC online ticket booking, I checked all the amenities available inside the bus using the redBus app. APSRTC buses are incredibly comfortable and have recliner seats. These buses are known for providing all kinds of amenities and a comfortable journey. I was feeling extremely travelling on an APSRTC bus I had booked using the redBus app. Some other amenities available inside an APSRTC bus are:

Earlier these buses also provided blankets and pillows to all their passengers, but they have stopped doing that during the pandemic to contain the spread of the virus. Also, there are other amenities available on these buses too. The kind of amenities you get depends on the bus you choose to travel with.
Safety measures that were taken inside my APSRTC bus
Travelling during the pandemic can be scary. I had my apprehensions while I was booking my APSRTC bus, but the APSRTC staff made it very comforting and straightforward. redBus has a pre-decided process in place, and it is being followed on all the APSRTC buses. The safety measures taken by the APSRTC bus were:
- Thermal checks were being conducted before boarding the bus
- The bus was disinfected right before we were about to board the bus
- Face masks are made compulsory by the authorities
- All the bus staff including the driver have been equipped with protective equipment to stop the spread of the virus
- Hand sanitisers are made available at different places inside the bus
- The middle seat has been left empty to practice social distancing effectively
Rest stops and duration of the journey
My APSRTC bus took around 6 hours to reach the destination. The buses were fast, and the journey was smooth. 6 hours is an ideal time to reach Tirupati from Bangalore. An APSRTC bus stops once or twice during the trip. The APSRTC bus in which I was travelling stopped at just one place so that people could grab a snack and freshen themselves up. The entire journey was very smooth, and it was very well managed by the APSRTC staff. All the claims and information which was there on the redBus official website were confirmed in the case of APSRTC bus ticket booking. I would love to travel again via an APSRTC bus.
